April - August: Nation's Capital Alumni Softball Team

Come out and play Ohio Alumni Softball, back for our 9th season in the Capital Alumni Network league. This will be a spring/summer season played April through August with a 14 game regular season and a post season tournament.

Location: National Mall/Monument Grounds

Washington, DC (Regular Season) and Goddard Space Flight Center (Tournament)

Schedule:

Regular Season: TBD

Tournament: August 11/12, and 18/19

The cost will be $60 and games will be on weekday evenings and on weekends.

May 5: Virginia Gold Cup with University Row

Saturday, May 5th, All Day

The Nation's Capital Chapter is participating in the Virginia Gold Cup and partnering with Virginia Tech again for 2012!

University Row will also have a Best Dressed contest, and some friendly inter-school games pitting tents against each other in light-hearted competition.

Our specially priced package includes the following:

• Round-trip charter bus with restrooms from Ballston Commons Mall with flexible departure times

• Va Tech Tent situated on secure North Rail University Row

• Open Bar - beer, wine, rail drinks, soda, juice, water

* Tent Only tickets provide entrance to University Row but the purchaser has to provide their own transportation.

* Car Pass tickets provide the ability to park a car at Gold Cup.

June 23: Ohio Golf Scramble

Pleasant Valley Golf Club

Come out and have a good time as we raise money for a scholarship to support a DC area student attending Ohio U.The winning golf team will qualify to go to the legendary Pinehurst Resort (No. 2 & 4) to play in the ACURA College Alumni Team Championship. Compete for the Acura Alumni Cup in this 36-hole best-ball competition.

Times: 11:30am free driving range/Check-in opens

12:30pm putting contest

1:00pm shotgun start

6:00pm (approx.) post-tournament dinner & awards

Cost: $110 per player

$40 per non player

*For Players - Package includes: round of golf, cart, driving range, 3 tourney contests, dinner after the tournament, one future free round per player at South Riding Golf Course, and a goody bag.

*For Non Players - Package will include dinner, and a goody bag. If you don't play golf but want to attend.
